Hi Emma and Mark, Thank you so much for such a wonderful day on our daughter's wedding. The organisation and service was excellent, all the staff were fabulous, kind polite and could not have done anymore to make the day just perfect. Gildredge Manor is a suburb venue, we had guests from many parts of the world and all said what a typical quintessential England Manor House it is. Over and above this are your personalities which shine through the setting, you really are lovely kind and caring people, and it's you that really made the day what it was, a fantastic success. We would both highly recommend both you and Gildredge Manor to anyone who is looking for a fabulous venue for a wedding or otherwise. Best wishes to you both and thanks again.

Just to thank you so very much for making the above (in my case as Father of the Bride) wedding, a brilliant and memorable occasion. I could not find fault in anything. You are a credit to your lovely house, gardens and the business you run, not operating detached but emotionally fully involved with absolutely everything from start to finish. We had such an amazing day. Never thought I would feel that way about a wedding day, especially one with kids in tow! We both wish we could do it again - now that's saying something! Thank you both so much for everything you did to help the day run smoothly. We were really pleased with how it all went. We've had such fabulous feedback from everyone including many, many comments on the beautiful venue.

On the hunt for our wedding venue in Eastbourne we wanted to stay away from the hotel package deals and find somewhere truly unique, suitably-sized and flexible enough for us to tailor the day to meet our needs.
After a good friend suggested Gildredge Manor, we were warmly invited to look around the charming building and within moments, we absolutely knew this was where we wanted to get married. We cancelled all our other viewings and didn’t look back.
Emma and Mark were the most perfect and wonderful hosts. They were always on hand to answer any questions, give advice and be willing to help us. They were super cool and did so much to help the day run smoothly. For this we are incredibly grateful to them.
All of our family and guests were blown away with Gildredge Manor. From a practical perspective, there were a range of beautifully-decorated rooms which opened up with different purposes as the day unfolded, providing ideal spaces for us, our family and our guests to enjoy the celebrations.
It’s evident that an incredible amount of love, time and effort have gone into restoring this wonderful setting. Venue highlights included the sanctuary of the elegant bride’s dressing room, the fabulous light beaming into the Long Gallery during our service, throwing shapes on the ‘dance floor’ of the Garden Room and the older family members retreating to the Library for coffee before turning into their own private members club for evening whisky. We can’t think of a better backdrop and surroundings for our joyous day.
The morning after, we came back and sat on the lawn of Gildredge Manor in the sunshine and shed a tear about how perfect it was. Thank you Emma and Mark, we can’t wait to come back and visit.
We decided that my 40th birthday was a time for celebration and also a good opportunity to raise some funds for a local charity that meant a lot to me. We scoured the traditional venues, but as soon as we saw Gildredge Manor we decided that it would be perfect for us. The versatility of the venue and room sizes meant we were able to do exactly what we had in mind. Mark and Emma made the arranging of what was a daunting task so easy. They are clearly experienced in what they do and we were made to feel very welcome before the event during the planning. The party went brilliantly and the atmosphere of the building relaxed everyone and we raised several thousand £'s on the night, so everything was perfect. We wouldn't go anywhere else for a venue in East Sussex and have also been to a wedding at Gildredge Manor, which was fabulous.
I would like to thank you both for preparing the Gallery Room so beautifully last Saturday for my 70th birthday party. Each thank-you letter I received after the event raved about the venue of the party and compliments are still coming in daily by post. It seems that many guests, although mostly local, were unaware of the existence of Gildredge Manor in is present form so I hope that my party helped somewhat to put it firmly on the Eastbourne venue map.
Special thanks also to Emma for chatting to guests as they arrived. It was a nice gesture and much appreciated by everyone.
We just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did to make our wedding so incredible. You made everything so much easier and took so much stress away. Please pass on our thanks to Jackie, she was amazing and made us feel so special and relaxed. We can't recommend you enough.

To dear Mark and Emma, I just had to let you know how delighted everyone that came to P & E’s wedding on Sunday was. They have so praised you and the beautiful Gildredge Manor. We all had such a wonderful day thanks to you both and your staff. The Manor was a splendid venue and you made everything so easy and relaxing and made us all feel so welcome. You certainly put in 100% in all that you did not only before, but on the day and also the day after. The Manor was spotless, and you had helped tidy up all of our things and made it so easy for us to take our bits and pieces away. AMAZING! Thank you!

We had our beautiful wedding at Gildredge Manor on 31/07/21. We cannot speak highly enough of Emma & Mark and Gildredge Manor. We just had the most perfect day! The manor is such a beautiful place and we have had so many of our guests say how lovely it was and how relaxed the day was (just what we wanted!). We had guests everywhere, the pool room, the garden, the dance floor, the library, the piano room, the bar! Somewhere for everyone. Emma and Mark were so attentive and lovely to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and they looked after us and all of our guests so well. If you’re considering booking Gildredge Manor for your wedding, we honestly cannot recommend the place enough. It’s worth every penny! Thank you so much Emma & Mark for doing us so proud! On the 04.06.21 my husband & I were able to get married at this stunning & beautiful manor. We knew that this was the place for us from our first appointment. The service we have received from Emma & Mark is second to none, they were flexible, understanding & reassuring during times of doubt and upset of COVID over the past 18 months. When it came to our day, the atmosphere set by Mark and Jackie was relaxed & they couldn’t do enough for you. They were great with the kids, made them feel like they were doing more towards the day. I don’t think my husband & I could sing the praises of Mark & Emma (including their staff) more. This venue has it all & would be the perfect place for an event or wedding!
Five stars! Our wedding took place here, May 30th 2022, what a wonderful day. From the moment we first booked the Manor, Emma and Mark were attentive, calm and supportive, even after we had to postpone twice during Covid. They communicated effectively throughout the whole process and the day itself was just perfect. Emma and Mark have an incredible team, who enabled us to relax and fully enjoy our day. Special mention goes to Jackie, who we found to be a fantastic wedding coordinator, guiding us through the day in a relaxing and professional manner. Also Max, who was the perfect bar person and host to all of our guests, ably supported by the rest of the team. The Manor provides an ideal environment for young children and older guests alike, from running around the enclosed garden to playing table football and pool, every one of our guests had a brilliant day. We highly recommend Gildredge Manor to anyone who is planning a wedding.

A building should be more than beautiful bricks and mortar, it can be a loving home, a place of peace or a vessel for happiness for a wedding. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place in which to hold our wedding. We are so grateful for the warmth that we and our guests received by Emma, Mark, Angie and the team. Our venue was not just a perfect setting which was exceptionally beautiful and intimate, that was just part of it for us. In addition, and most importantly, it exuded style without pretention, the love of a people for their premises and we felt this in every detail of this treasure of a building. We also fell in love with the presence of nature all around us, all of which just added to the comfortableness of our surroundings. We can't wait to book you again in the future to celebrate an anniversary!

Thank you for all your help and your wonderful venue, it made the perfect setting for a really fabulous party. You personally where amazing and unbelievably helpful throughout the whole process; the way you were so laid back leading up to the event helped to alleviate my stresses, so thank you so so much.

Saturday was completely perfect and we're so grateful for all your hard work and how calm and accommodating you were. The whole thing felt so personal and special and we loved working with you. You really were both fantastic.
Thank you again for everything you did to make our day so special. From the first day we came to look (this was the only time I was nervous in any of the preparations, I so wanted Alan to like it and you to be available) you made us feel at ease, nothing was too much trouble and I think the guests felt that too on the day. People keep telling us what a brilliant day they had, I think not least because of your welcome and all the locals are very impressed by your hard work on the renovation.
I had a wonderful time on Saturday and I have nothing but praise from my guests for the fabulous venue. Of course, the Manor itself is a dream venue for a special event and I am in no doubt that many of my guests from Saturday will be arranging events at the Manor and I would have no hesitation in making you my first choice for a choice of venue, for any future events I may host. You have made it a very special place.

The general comments from guests was that the Manor lends itself so well to such an event. The Eastbourne residents are happy to see the building so well restored. I do not doubt it is unique and that your years of investment will pay off.
We loved having our 40th at Gildredge Manor! It’s of course beautiful and the owners are lovely, but also practically, everything works well. Where other venues have their preferred caterers, we were allowed to have “whatever” we wanted in terms of food, music and entertainment and it all turned out great. It was so well organise, we just had to turn up on the night and we all had a fantastic time! I can’t recommend this venue enough.
I just want to say a huge thank you to you all. I was a bridesmaid for my sister this weekend and you did such an amazing job of hosting this wedding that I wanted to thank you personally. The venue itself it so picturesque and has been renovated to bring out its full potential. The grounds are immaculate, the interior is stunning, and every member of staff made the whole day exceptional. Everything went smoothly and we were even gifted with a little ‘fairy godmother’ to make sure every need was met. I can’t thank you enough for the hospitality. It was by far, the best wedding I’ve ever been to and that’s a real testament to how you run the manor. Thank you for everything you did, from the bottom of my heart. It was outstanding. I couldn’t have wished for a better day for my sister and her new husband.
A massive shout out to Emma and Mark for coordinating the most memorable day of our lives. The amount of guests who praised their professionalism and genuine love for their work, not to mention the positive energy they inflicted on everyone at the manor. They were extremely helpful pre and post wedding and really exceeded any expectation we could have hoped for. We got married here yesterday and cannot rate it highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners Emma & Mark. The day was seamless, with extra little touches which hadn't even occurred to us, offered without hesitation. We had nothing but praise for the venue from guests due it's unique ability to please everyone with its different rooms. My parents spent the evening in the quiet library, leaving others to dance the night away or play pool by the bar. It was everything we'd hoped for and more. Thank you so very much for absolutely everything. x
My new hubby and myself had our wedding on Friday the 23rd of July 2021. From the moment we booked to the moment we left as newlyweds, we were looked after. Emma and Mark were so helpful when we had to move our date due to Covid. Everything went so smoothly on the day. If anything did go wrong, we definitely did not know about it. Thank you again Emma and Mark for helping us make our day so magical.
Planning a wedding during a pandemic is definitely not the easiest, but Emma and Mark were there every step of the way and did a really great job at supporting and helping us to create our perfect day. Our wedding day went smoother than I could have imagined, Mark was amazing and all the staff at the Manor were so helpful and polite- we could not have asked for a better venue. Saying thank you does not cover the appreciation and gratitude we have for all your hard work to make our day go so beautifully! Gildredge Manor is a dream location with stunning views, elegance and holds a fairytale atmosphere. Staff were calming, happy and held a high level of care and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble and friendly support was always nearby. You can clearly see that all of you and every member of the team held the heart of the days meaning close and did not treat the occasion like business. We could not imagine having our day anywhere else! Thank you for all you have all done for us!
